Your project, clearly defined

Window project planner

Start with what you know. Add detail when you have it. Leave with a useful brief and a clearer way to compare written quotes.

No measurements, email or account required. Prices come only from quotes you enter; this tool does not estimate market costs or arrange installation.

01 Outline the project

A rough count is enough. You can leave it blank if you are still deciding.

Whole number, 1–200. Count openings, not individual glass panes.
02 Refine the scope

These are preferences for discussion. Frame condition and opening details still need an on-site assessment.

Changing openings, disturbing older painted surfaces, and replacing bedroom windows can introduce requirements beyond choosing a product. Keep these items in your written scope.

03 Compare quotes optional

Enter values from two actual proposals. Add only allowances that are outside the quoted base. Blank means unknown; enter 0 only when confirmed.

Use dollars without commas or symbols. Both amounts are needed for each subtotal. Tax and unpriced work remain excluded unless included in your entered figures.

Quote A
Quote B

A lower subtotal is not necessarily a better quote. Compare the same window count, product, installation method, finish work, warranties and exclusions.
