01 Your starting choices

We start with 8 double-hung vinyl windows as an editable example. Count each window unit; a group of windows may contain several units.

Double-hung: two sliding sashes. Casement: side-hinged. Awning: top-hinged. For a mixed project, compare groups separately and keep every group in your brief.

02 Refine installation & home details

These answers flag unpriced work. They do not apply unsupported price multipliers.

More than 50 units, specialty shapes, new openings or structural changes? Build a project brief and get a project-specific scope.

A useful starting point.
A written scope comes next.

Where the numbers come from

The Home Depot window installation cost guide publishes U.S. per-unit bands for vinyl and wood windows by style. It includes products, installation, applicable permits and taxes. We multiply the selected band by your quantity; we do not add those costs again.

Checked 2026-09-21. These are national retailer benchmarks, not measured Tulsa averages. They are not prices offered by Tulsa Online Windows or its installation partner. Product availability must be confirmed separately.

Why the spread is wide

Size, glass, finishes and local conditions vary. Choosing “not sure” uses the outer limits of the listed categories. Extra detail does not automatically make the range narrower. The calculation assumes no volume discount and does not establish whether repairs, trim work or other unresolved items are covered.

How to read your range

Use the result to explore the scale of a project and compare the published bands for supported materials and styles. Read the flags as a list of conditions needing a separate scope review. The benchmark does not isolate extra full-frame work, concealed damage or lead-safe work costs.

A proposal inside the range is not automatically fair, and one outside it is not automatically wrong. The benchmark does not know your sizes, access or finish work.

Next, shortlist products and document each opening in the project planner. Read how the online process works and the complete buying guide before committing to a product or order.
