Start with your window count and the kind of material you are considering. The online estimator gives a research-based planning benchmark and explains its scope. Change an answer to compare a different scenario. No email, phone number or exact measurements are required.

A benchmark helps you prepare; it does not reserve a product or establish an installer’s price. The source, assumptions and unpriced conditions appear beside the result. Do not order windows from that number alone.

2. Refine your project before comparing proposals

Use the project planner to record rooms, problems, approximate sizes, frame preferences and questions. Save your brief to keep working later. When you have written proposals, enter their base prices and separate allowances to compare the arithmetic alongside the scope.

Photos and rough sizes can be useful in a contractor conversation. Keep an exterior and interior view of each opening, note access constraints and describe leaks or sticking sashes. The planner keeps text notes; it does not upload photos or automatically send a request to our partner.

3. Confirm measurements, products and price

Before a custom order, a local professional needs to check the openings and confirm the installation approach. An insert replacement and a full-frame replacement can leave very different work around the window. Agree on trim restoration, disposal, water management and any damage allowances in writing.
